As the head of sales Shu is charged with building and expanding the sales and marketing infrastructure in both national and international markets.

Before he joined New World Spirits, Mr. de Jong was a founding partner at Panache Beverages, a spirits importer, well known for launching Wodka Vodka and Alibi Whiskey.  By 2013, 5 years after launch, Wodka Vodka had grown to over 200,000 cases, primarily based on Mr. de Jongs sales efforts and relationships.  

Mr. de Jong started his career in spirits in 2003, importing and distributing  42 Below Vodka in North America.  He was responsible for building the brand’s image and sales nationally in the on-premise market until 2007 when the growth of the US market inspired Bacardi USA to acquire 42 Below.

Mr. de Jong started his career in professional basketball in Holland but when arriving in New York City, found a natural fit with the hospitality and night-life industry, becoming the general manager of Rande Gerbers Midnight Oil properties in the early 2000s while hosting and running the door at some of New York City's most celebrated nightlife establishments.

Mr. de Jong lives in NYC with his wife and two young children.
